Here is the short of it. Budgeting for Poland is shaped by its rebates and currency context. The 30% cash rebates administered by the Polish Film Institute (PISF) since 2019 applies to qualifying Polish spend. Roughly sixteen regional film funds — including the Kraków Regional Film Fund. The Silesia Film Fund — can stack on top, so a well-structured budget shows producers both gross cost and net cost after rebates.

Here is the breakdown. Poland uses the złoty rather than the euro, at roughly four PLN to the US dollar, and 23% VAT applies to most production services — both must be modelled accurately.
