Here is the short of it. Employment for film and television in Poland is ruled primarily by the Polish Labour Code rather than the closed-shop union structures of some other areas. The Code sets the rules on working hours, rest periods and late hours that shoot schedules must respect, and pro bodies represent the interests of actors and crew within that framework. Contracts are mostly denominated in złoty. The 30% cash rebates administered by the Polish Film Institute (PISF) is paid against well logged qualifying spend, so buy-in forms must be accurate and complete.
